Found Amazon - Philadelphia, Pennsylvannia - April 5, 2005 Carolyn wrote... How can I find the owner of a parrot I found wandering around in my front yard? I live in Philadelphia, Pa (zip) 19150. We found the parrot Thursday, April 5, 2006. I've contact the SPCA lost and found. After some research on the Internet, I believe the parrot is a Mature Orange Wing Amazon. There's a silver ring on his right leg. He's been living with my family and I uncaged since last Thursday. He about a foot long, he eats well, flies from the living room to the diningroom. He perched on my kitchen step ladder for now. We've also made up flyers and post them in all local Supermarkets. Lost Cockatiel - Georgia - April 15, 2006 Karen sent this in.... Lost April

Thank you! We're just sick about our loss. Lost Cockatoo (may look a bit like an African Grey) - April 10, 2006 - California? Cliff sent this in... $1,500.00 Reward for recovery of lost Bird / Parrot / Cockatoo My family is worried sick over losing "Roro." Each of us have stopped work completely and have been looking for her day and night. I myself am barely taking time to eat - just looking for her and posting lost reports to different agencies. Roro is a Rose Breasted Cockatoo - but she could be confused for any number of "birds" or "parrots" - including an African Gray, because she is quite gray. I'm including "bird" and "parrot" in this search because some people who are trying to help look for Roro initially call her a "bird" or "parrot". We don't want to exclude any reports of finding Roro just because someone thought a "bird" is not a "rose breasted cockatoo". Today, we discovered that someone probably found Roro and was (very kindly) trying to find someone in the area who knew about parrots to take care of her. Since Roro has been with at least 1 person since being lost, we believe she could be anywhere now. (Because she could have been transported in a car etc. then flew away again - or was let go). She is a combination of gray, pink, and some white. Her colors can change to dark gray, red - if she's wet (eg from rain). Basically, none of us are sleeping. We care for our parrots like they're family members. I purchased last minute flight ticket just to fly into San Jose to look for her. We have also made hundreds of color fliers with her picture. I have spent literally hours calling and making posts to pet stores, vet hospitals, humane societies, and animal control agencies. Interestingly, I am coming across a lot of other lost and found pet stories. In fact, today we helped someone find their black labrador dog. This is because I'm helping to spread the word if other people have pets they want added to the lost reports I'm making. So if you have a lost pet, let me know so if in the hours we spend looking for Roro, we can contact you if we see your pet too. Or, let me know if you want me to keep my eyes peeled for any "found" animals that match your lost pet. Literally, in our time looking for Roro, we have come across thousands of animals - even ducks, geese, etc. (Normally, you don't notice them - but you do because you're looking for "roro"). We are offering to pay ALL COSTS INCURRED caring for Roro and for time and expense involved in finding Roro's owners (which is us). In addition, $1,000.00 for the person or people involved in bringing Roro back to us - or us to Roro. There have been a lot of tears already. And I can't even sleep at night because I don't know if she's freezing to death outside in the rain or if she's upset at some stranger's house. We just have to find her. Please help. If you know anyone who found a bird / parrot / cockatoo / Rose Breasted Cockatoo - please have them contact us. A friendly note to the person who might have found her: If you like Roro enough to keep her - we'll buy you another parrot / pet of your choice. All cockatoos are very cuddly and cute - so we're sure we can find you a good replacement for Roro. Or, if you're intent on keeping her - at least we'd like to see that whoever has her loves her and treats her nice. Even if we can't get Roro back - just knowing she's in nice hands would make us much more relieved. Please call ParrotsNow 859-380-7460 or email. We will respond to every report of sighting / possible finding of Roro. If we don't get back to you - it's because something went wrong in communications. Please keep contacting us until we get your message and respond. Lost African Grey - Dallas, North Carolina - August 4, 2005 Jayne sent this... Lost - and Found - African Grey Timneh - Ontario, Canada - Mar 31 2006 Janet updated us... Frodo was found
safe and sound this morning - thank you for your help! Janet sent this... We have lost a beloved African Grey Timneh in Ajax, Ontario in the Westney and 401 area. On March 31 at approx 6pm he flew off his owner's shoulder out the back door before getting swept up in the wind and over the houses. He is banded,
currently has his primary flight feathers and is a little over a year
old. We are extremely worried about his well being as it is cool (12 degrees Celsius, about 55 F.) and wet. There is the potential for the weather to worsen overnight. We have been unsuccessful in even spotting him since he escaped and no neighbours have spotted him either. Ah, a story with a happy ending!
