Stolen Timneh African Grey - Leesburg, Florida - Oct. 30, 2006

Our 17 year old Timneh African Grey was stolen Sunday October 30, 2006 from a pet shop in Leesburg, Florida where he was boarding. He is very articulate and his name is "Ernie." There is a cash reward offered upon safe return of our family member.

Lost Jenday Conure - Bowie-Crofton area of Maryland - Oct. 19, 2006

Lost Jenday Conure in the Bowie-Crofton area of MD. Answers to the name Monty. Last sighted in the Crofton Parkway area 10-19-06.

He is 2 years old, and very playful. Loves to laugh. He is step-up trained. Loves orange juice, grapes and apples. We are heart broken.

Lost Blue and Gold Macaw - Trumann, Arkansas - Sept. 2006

I have lost a blue and gold macaw named Monty. Monty got out 9/3/06, and we knew where he was until 9/6/06. We believe he stayed in the area around our home until 10/12/06-we had been getting sightings until then.

After our weather turned cold and rainy for 4 full days, and parially rainy since then, we have heard or seen nothing of him. He may have left the area back in September, or after the storms in October.

Monty has a crippled foot, and a crooked beak-he says my bad, peekaboo, hi mom, brat, myles and i love you, among other things. I am not sure how well he would have been able to hold onto a tree, especially we had winds up to 40 mph. He especially loves coffee and french fries. Hopefully, he will come down to a human if he is hungry and cold enough. He is a hand raised baby, now 5 years old.

Lost Blue Crowned Conure - Teaneck, New Jersey - Oct. 13, 2006

I lost my blue crowned conure in Teaneck, NJ, October 13, 2006. We saw the bird for 2 days in Votee Park until it disappeared. His name is Simon and flew off my shoulder when startled. Please keep your bird's wings clipped so this doesnt happen to you. The bird is tame and at least 14 years old. REWARD

Lost Cinnamon-Ped Cockatiel - Providence, Rhode Island - Oct. 17, 2006

Pippin is a cinnamon-pied cockatiel. He's about six or seven inches high without his tail or his crest. He is yellow with gray markings on his back and wings. He has bright orange cheeks and a peachy-colored beak and legs/feet. Unfortunately, he took the band off of his foot, but you can recognize him by the fact that he does not have one.

We live on President Avenue in Providence, Rhode Island. Pippin has been missing since Tuesday, October 17th (in the morning). He can be quite aggressive and territorial, and does not speak, but he does chirp and whistle along with me when I whistle to him. He has clipped wings, so he can't really fly, but he might still be in a tree.

Please contact ParrotsNow at if you have seen him or know anything about him. It's getting very cold outside these days and I'm worried about him! I'm fifteen, and I miss my little bird!

I have lost my Timneh African Grey Parrot. I am in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas (south Dallas). I miss him and wonder if you can post this for any information. He was not wearing a band. I have pictures and he will know me when he sees me. He likes to make an Ack Ack sound, a yoo hoo sounds and will say 'you want a noodle' or 'you want a cookie' (those are his favorite things to say). thank you.

Lost Lutino-Pearl Cockatiel - Pensacola, Florida - Sept. 6, 2006

I lost a lutino-pearl cockatiel in Pensacola on September 6 2006. I still have not found her. if you have found a yellow cockatiel with red eyes, and orange cheek circles, who has slightly darker yellow speckles on her back, and who loves having her dead lightly scratched, ( the bck of her head) and who loves to sit on your choulder or be cuddled and who is very sweet and tame, it could be Pinky.

Hi I am wondering if anyone can help me find my parrot. My Macaw flew away on 10/10/06 and I am wondering if there is an organization that helps search/track/find/catch domestic Parrots for people who will pay for that type of service.

I hear my parrot skawking around my area, I have put up flyers with my phone number and received phone calls of people who said they saw it where they live up on a tree and it was screaming. I really want my bird back and need help on how to capture it. Please direct me to whom can help me with my situation. Thank you so very much.

Lost African Grey - Toronto, Ontario, Canada - Oct. 9, 2006

Lost my "African Grey" last evening at supper time.She was on the porch in the porch cage and flew off my husbands' as he tried to quickly get her into the house.

Her flight feathers had been aggressivly clipped when youngher and by a novice breeder. I thought it important to let them grow out base on the many and varied arguments I heard about both sides. Now my bird is gone.

We have sighted him in two different trees and mostly look comfy on the high tops. this is the secong night and must be getting very hungry. I have 2 cages that he plays and sleeps so those are outside (One on the front porch and the other on our deck 3 stories up)

We found him by his vocalizations, when he heard our dog barking he started barking. I tend to clap my hands, do my whisteling, sing and get my own dog to bark on command. Is this too much excitment for hinm? We watched in horror while he was on a second tree a sparrow hawk swoop on down and tangle with "Ray". Ray got away and flew again towards our house. No sighiings since though.

Lost Conure - Ansonia, Conneticut - Sept. 29, 2006

We live on the Ansonia/Seymour townline, and on Friday night, 29 Sept. 06, my conure parrot escaped. He sounds distinctive and has a green body with a red tail, and a dark grey head. He will respond to his name, Zazu (from the Lion King). As well as common whistles, like a catcall/pretty girl whistle and a 'get over here' whistle, also Beethoven's Fifth Symphony.

Lost African Grey - New Boston, Michigan - Sept. 15, 2006

My African Grey flew out of our house 2 weeks ago this Sat. I am devistated, and I have posted his picture and reward out everywhere. I live in a very wooded area, And I have went in search for him everyday. My baby is lost and cold and I can't do anything else. I fell just like I have lost my child.

If I only could know if he was safe and warm w/ a loving family that was seeking to find his parents it would help mend my grieving heart. If anyone comes across Dusty please let me know.

Goffin's cockatoo flew from Charleston National(Mt.Pleasant) on 8/14/2006. I hand raised this baby and have loved him for 11 years...I am truly mourning my child! My hopes for him to be out and still alive are fading.

Found Cockatiel - Mesa, Arizona - Sept. 22, 2006

We found a cocktiel at Higley and Southern. He/She was sitting on the top of our other cocktiel's cage. We captured it with the lure of food. It seemed hungry and thirsty. Found on Friday 9/22/06. I would really like to find the owner! Please identify markings.

Lost African Grey - Salem, Oregon - Sept. 19, 2006

Lost 3 month old congo african grey. He has a pink plastic band on each leg. He prefers woman or men with beards. He still can't talk, but he does make noises and just learned the "growl" the last day I saw him.

I have always wanted an african grey. My parents still have theirs that has been in the family for 20 years. I waited 2 months to get him home, have been handfeeding him for the last 2.5 weeks. On tuesday september 19th I had to leave out of town for a couple of days and the last time Itook him he seemed very stressed, so I hesitantly left him with the family I live with. Within 24 hours, he flew out the front door not to be seen again. I miss him already. If you spot him or find him, please contact ParrotsNow.

Lost Congo Grey - Cincinnati, Ohio - Sept. 17, 2006

Kirby, our 12 year old female Congo grey flew off my arm on Sunday 9/17/06. She flew into a tree and I tried to get a ladder to retrieve her. When I got to her, the branch shook and she flew off. We found her on an eletric line about 10 minutes later. In trying to get her to fly back toward our house she flew into a tree about 60 feet up. I kept a watch for her in the tree until it was time to put our son to bed. In the morning I went to look for her and she was not in the tree. We have issued fliers to pepole in neighborhood and called the local avian vets and Second Chance Wildlife. We live in Hyde park area.

Our 18 month old son Adam has become good friends with Kirby and calls her "Gulp,Gulp". It's a sound the bird makes when we drink from a glass. He tries to feed her snacks and give her his sippy cup.
