If you have lost your parrot and would like to post here, just let ParrotsNow know by clicking here.
Or if you see that listing that might be Your Parrot, contact ParrotsNow and we'll put you in touch with the finder. You can also call us at 859-380-7460. It's hard to know how far a parrot may have strayed from their home. Of course it's possible that someone found a parrot, moved, then lost it, to bring it a long distance from home. So the more identifying info you have when contacting someone, the better the chance to know if it is your parrot.

Lost Timneh Grey - NYC, New York - December 16, 2006

Oscar wrote...

My Timneh Grey parrot flew out on the night of December 16th in the Union Square area via south bound.

He is 13 months old and is currently molting and wings are semi clipped. He responds well to a very energetic wolf whistle. Greys that fly away can fly hundreds of miles so it is not unlikely to be far from Manhattan. Please respond with any information regarding lil' Paco.

A Note for All Parrot Owners

I just found your web site today. I was reading all the stories about the lost birds! Doesn't anyone ever clip their birds wings? I know some people think it may be cruel or something, but nothing is more pitiful than a parrot that doesn't know how to survive out on it's own and is a brightly colored target for any bird of prey! I just had to get that off my chest!
